Ma’ale Adumim has published a tender to install and
operate photoelectric panels on 17 public building
roofs. The buildings include the Tomer Rachel, Megadim,
Tzemach Sadeh and Ulpanat Tzivia schools.
The photoelectric panels convert sunlight to electricity which
is fed into the Israel electric grid. The Israeli government
has established a fixed rate that the electric company pays
for this solar created electricity.
Today there are photoelectric panels on top of the Paz
gas station opposite the canion.
