2023 Sukkot Events in Ma’ale Adumim

Hi Everyone!
Here are the scheduled Sukkot events in Ma’ale Adumim:

On October 1 at 18:15 there will a children’s
parade with musical accompaniment starting at Musar Avicha shul.
At 20:15 there will be a Simchat Beit Hashoeva
at Rav Katz’s Sukkah.

On October 3 and October 4 there will be
a free Sukkot festival at the Youth park
opposite the library.
Various activities for kids 13:00 – 18:00

There will be free performances over
the two days including:
October 3 – 20:00 – Pirchei Yerushalayim
October 3 – 21:00 – Shlomi Shabbat
October 4 – 20:20 – Fashion show with Odelya Mizrachi
October 4 – 21:00 – Eden Chason, Natan Goshen

From October 1 to October 4 there will be various
entertainment at DCITY in Mishor Adumim.

On Saturday night, October 7 at 20:30,
there will be Second Hakafot in the
school yard of Sdeh Chemed.

Photos of the Lego Exhibition

Hi Everyone!

This afternoon, I read a posting about a one day Lego exhibition
at Dcity in Mishor Adumim. Due to the heat, I was not planning to
go anywhere today but I gave it some thought and I decided to call
an air conditioned cab instead of taking 2 buses.
The exhibition was in the air conditioned food court.
Each exhibit was done by a Lego hobbyist.
It was great seeing the creative models that they built with the
same plastic pieces that I played with many, many years ago.

After I walked around the exhibits, I went outside the mall to see
the Shuk Ramle which comes to Dcity every Monday and Friday.
Walking around in a modern mall and then entering an old style
marketplace made me smile. Afterwards, I went back into the mall
to look at a sculpture exhibit. At the end of my walk, I paid a quick
visit to Max – a large discount store.

47th Anniversary of Mivtsa Yonatan, Flora Photos and Happy Birthday America

Hi Everyone!

On June 27 1976, an Air France flight from Tel-Aviv to Paris via Athens
was hijacked and forced to land in Entebbe, Uganda.
The Jewish passengers were separated and held hostage in demand
to release many terrorists held in Israeli prisons.
After much debate, the Israeli government sent an elite commando unit
to raid the airfield and release the hostages. The commando unit,
aircraft crews and the rescued hostages landed in Israel on July 4, 1976.
Yonatan Netanyahu, the commander of the first aircraft´s Sayeret Matkal
rescue unit,
was shot and killed while helping hostages return to the aircraft.

“Operation Entebbe” was later named “Operation Yonatan” in honor
of Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Netanyahu z”l.

Yom Ha’atzmaut Events in Ma’ale Adumim

Here are events scheduled for Yom Ha’atzmaut in Ma’ale Adumim:

Tuesday night, April 25 at the Castel Museum
21:15 Duo Reim will perform

Tuesday night celebration in Central Park 20:00 – 23:00

On Tuesday night there will be 2 rounds of fireworks

On Yom Ha’atzmaut, the Hayaaran Forest picnic area will be
open for picnics from 9:00am to 4:00pm . There will be
inflatable children’s structures and activities.
There will also be an army exhibition.

The entrance to the the area (by car) is located on the
right side on the highway 3/4 down the mountain traveling
from Jerusalem to Ma’ale Adumim.

There will be hourly bus rides to the picnic area starting at 9am.
The bus will pickup people every whole hour at city hall.
